A straightforward guide to RaceCal Plus, existing-user access and the sources behind the app.

App license

The RaceCal app is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These pages explain the subscription and product features and do not replace that agreement or your statutory rights. RaceCal is operated by Hu Xiaochen.

RaceCal Plus Annual

RaceCal Plus includes personal session reminders, automatic reminder rules and configurable lead times. Calendar browsing, Home Screen widgets and the bundled archive are free.

The annual plan costs US$2.99 in the US storefront. Prices and taxes may vary by region. The App Store displays the applicable price and subscription period before you confirm payment.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings.

Deleting RaceCal does not cancel a subscription. For billing help or refund requests, use Apple’s Report a Problem. Read the privacy policy for information about purchase verification.

Existing users receive lifetime access

A verified purchase of the original one-time unlock, or a verified original production download before the 2.0 subscription edition, grants premium access free for life. Eligible users do not need to subscribe.

Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account. Eligibility is verified through Apple’s records. A temporary failure to verify an account does not mean an existing user should buy a new plan. Get help restoring access.

Calendars, reminders and results

Racing schedules can change. RaceCal uses public data sources and retains its last good calendar when a download fails. Check the official championship schedule for consequential travel or event decisions.

Reminders are local notifications. Updating a previously scheduled alert requires the app to receive the changed schedule and run. iOS controls background execution and widget refresh; RaceCal does not promise continuous background updates or guaranteed notification delivery.

Historical F1 results and final standings are bundled snapshots. RaceCal does not provide live timing, live race positions or projected championship points.

Sources and photography

Schedule data is based on Sportstimes, distributed under its MIT license. F1 result data is from F1DB, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. RaceCal selects and formats that data for display. The countdown preview reads the current F1 calendar. The separate Monaco 2025 calendar and podium examples use the bundled archive and F1DB v2026.17.0 result snapshot; only the top three finishers are displayed.

RaceCal’s photography comes from the owner’s licensed archive. Photographs depict historical events, not necessarily the date, driver lineup or team identity of a displayed calendar entry. The photo files are not offered under the data sources’ open licenses.

RaceCal is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, the FIA or any team. Their names identify the competitions followed by the app; respective marks belong to their owners.
